Special Displays and Bulletin Boards to support reading and the curriculum.
We celebrate “The Author of the Week” by highlighting both picture book and fiction authors weekly. We highlight and display books on selected themes monthly. Currently we have a special display of “New Books.” October is a big month of a variety of displays. We had a fire fighter display for Fire Prevention Week. For Banned Book Week, we displayed a selection from the top 100 Banned titles. For Teen Read Week we have selected new teen titles from our Young Adult Collection rounding out with a whole month display of Halloween titles, ghost stories and scary stories.
We also have on display books from the Vermont Literature Programs, The Red Clover, the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Programs and the Green Mountain Book Award, along with the Caldecott, Newbery and Prinz Award winning books. We currently have on site, the VT Farm Bureau Barn filled with farming resources.
