Hey, Hey, Hey, what’s happening in the media center!
The Media Center program supports learning and reading and offers a variety of programs and events. We are lucky to have the support of the Parent Network Group and local businesses and organizations in our community that help with author events.
Some of the authors we have been fortunate to get into our school and community have been Steven Kellogg, Tomie DePaola, Maurice Sendak, Karen Hesse, Jerry Spinelli, Natalie Kinsey-Warnock, Eileen Christelow, Harry Bliss, Katharine Paterson, Blue Balliet, Vicki Cobb, Norman Bridwell, Peter Sis and many more.
Special Events and Presentations
We have been fortunate to have developed some special relationships with visiting teachers from other countries, including Japan, China and Thailand. These teachers have worked in the classroom with teachers and students. Nattanan Lengluan from Trang, Thailand lived with our library media specialist and continues to maintain that special connection.
